Taylor Swift is a music phenomenon that shows no sign of slowing down. Since bursting on the scene in 2006 at just 16 years of age, she has sold close to 50 million albums worldwide, and picked up 14 Grammy Awards along the way.

But numbers only tell one part of the story. Musically she has proven diverse style wise, very prolific and an excellent story teller. And in recent times has become a spokesperson for female rights.

The connection she has forged with her fans, known as Swifties, is extraordinarily powerful, too. Achieved in large part by a ground breaking social media approach the Swiftie population is huge.

Not least because Taylor actively seeks her fans out online, going so far as to turn online micro-interactions into real-life encounters that Swifties couldn't have imagined in their wildest dreams.

This relationship is a Love Affair of extraordinary proportions. One I tried to capture in the poem on this artwork.
